We are the Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers, an active and engaged member of the appraisal community throughout the Northeastern Illinois area.

WHAT AN EVENT!!

On May 10th, the Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of NAIFA and

EQUITY EDUCATION sponsored its first (annual)

BEST APPRAISAL PRACTICE PANEL DISCUSSION

Chief Appraisers from major lending institutions and AMC's, sat down  with members of the Illinois Appraisal Board, for 4 hours of intense, interesting and enlightening conversation. Led by an outstanding moderator, Tom Munizzo, nearly 200 of our fellow appraisal community members heard discussions, opinions and advice on a wide array of topics.

 

Sincere thanks to Tony Pistilli (US Bank), Jerry Gorman (RELS), Alan Hummel (Forsythe Appraisal), Steven Albert (Allstate Appraisal) and Mitchell Zaveduk (MB Financial Bank), as well as Illinois Appraisal Board Members Jim Blaydes, Lee Lansford and Tim McCarthy, for their participation.

 
SPECIAL GUEST

We hope you didn't miss our last luncheon, with special guest speaker Brian Weaver, Coordinator of the Appraisal Division of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Always informative and entertaining, we were very pleased and honored to have Mr. Weaver provide both insight and awareness of issues that impact Illinois appraisers every day.

Nearly 200 appraisers filled the room on April 12th, at the Willowbrook Holiday Inn. Mr. Weaver presented his top 12 ways for appraisers to jeapardize their careers and provide insight into what's happening at all levels of the industry.
